ESPN Footytips has the audience. Fanzava gives you yours.

Footytips is the default Australian tipping destination and it is free. Every member who joins your comp there signs up to ESPN. Fanzava exists for New Zealand organisations that need them to sign up to you.

Free to start. No credit card.

ESPN Footytips calls itself "Australia's largest tipping site" and its app store listing calls it "Australia's #1 tipping game". It is free to play, covers AFL, NRL, Super Rugby, EPL, A-League, T20 cricket, NBL and more, and lets anyone create a private competition with custom scoring options such as perfect round bonuses, joker rounds and penalties, plus Streak and Flexi formats. It is published by The Walt Disney Company (Australia) Pty Ltd and the Google Play listing carries a Contains ads label. That combination of reach, polish and zero cost is a strong offer, and for a workplace or family comp it is usually the right one. Fanzava is built for the club, association, media brand, sponsor or employer where the comp is a marketing asset rather than a pastime: the branding, the domain, the email sender, the sponsor placements and the participant list all need to be theirs.

Where ESPN Footytips wins.

Scale and recognition Fanzava does not have.

Footytips describes itself as Australia's largest tipping site and has been a fixture of the footy season for years. Your members almost certainly know it, and many already have an account, a tipping history and an app installed. Fanzava is new and has none of that.

It is free, with no plan to choose.

Free to download, free to play, free to run a private comp. There is no procurement conversation, no seat count and no invoice.

The editorial wrapper comes with it.

Footytips sits inside ESPN's Australian sport coverage: news, form guides, team statistics and insights beside the tipping. Fanzava runs the competition and leaves the journalism to someone else.

The tipping formats are mature.

Perfect round bonuses, joker rounds, penalties, margin scoring, Streak and Flexi comps, email reminders. Years of refinement on a product used at national scale, and it shows.

Where Fanzava wins.

The sign-up is to your brand, not to ESPN.

Your logo, your colours, your domain, your email sender, on every paid plan rather than behind an enterprise contract. Members join at your address and see your brand every week of the season.

You keep the audience you spent money attracting.

Participant data belongs to the hub owner and exports to your CRM. A comp that builds someone else's list is a promotion; a comp that builds yours is an asset.

Sponsor inventory you own and can sell.

Sponsor placements are built into the leaderboard, round reminders, results emails and the weekly digest. On an ad-supported platform, the advertising beside your comp was sold by the platform. On Fanzava it is yours to sell.

Tipping and knockout brackets in one platform.

Run the home-and-away tipping comp and the finals bracket off the same member list and the same login, across codes, rather than bolting a second tool onto the season.

Enterprise controls when the comp goes org-wide.

SSO, data residency in Australia (the closest live region to New Zealand) and audit logs are available for enterprise buyers, so an employee-wide comp can clear an internal security review.

Moving a comp across.

Footytips publishes no organiser-side member export, so expect to invite your audience rather than lift a list. Build and brand your hub, then share a branded join link or QR code through the channels you already own: newsletter, socials, member portal, group chat, matchday screens. Where you already hold the list yourself in a spreadsheet or CRM, import it and send the invitations from your own sending domain. We will help you write the migration emails. The cleanest moment is the break before a season or a finals series, so nobody is asked to tip in two places in the same week.

Questions buyers ask.

Can ESPN Footytips be branded for my club or company?
No white-label, custom domain or custom email sender is published. Competitions run inside the ESPN Footytips brand.
Can I export my comp members from Footytips?
There is no published member export for comp organisers. Plan to re-invite your audience with a branded link or QR code.
Footytips is free. What am I paying Fanzava for?
Ownership. The brand on the comp, the domain it runs on, the address the emails come from, the sponsor placements, and the list of everyone who joined. If none of those matter to you, a free platform is the better choice and we would rather you knew that now.
Can I sell a sponsorship on my Fanzava comp?
Yes. Sponsor placements sit in the leaderboard, round reminders, results emails and the weekly digest, and the inventory is yours to sell.
Does Fanzava do fantasy?
Yes, as a draft league on paid plans. Participants draft a squad of real players in a live snake draft, name a captain, then trade with each other and pick up free agents through the season, on the same hub as your tipping and brackets. The fantasy page takes a waitlist for early access rather than a self-serve signup.
