Refund and cancellation policy

Last updated: 2026-10-26

This Refund and Cancellation Policy explains how billing, cancellation, and refunds work for the Fanzava platform, operated by RYSI Labs Pty Ltd, trading as Fanzava. It forms part of the Fanzava Platform Terms of Use. Nothing in this policy excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other law that cannot be excluded (see section 8).

1. Free plan

The Free plan is provided at no cost. There is nothing to cancel for billing purposes and nothing to refund. You may delete a Free Hub at any time from Hub Settings.

2. Monthly subscriptions

Month-to-month subscriptions renew and are charged each month until you cancel. You may cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation stops the next renewal; your plan remains active until the end of the current paid month, and the current month is not refunded.

3. Annual subscriptions

Annual subscriptions are paid in advance and include two months free compared with the monthly rate. Annual fees are non-refundable except where a refund is required by law. For self-serve annual plans, we send a reminder email at least 30 days before your subscription renews, so you can cancel first if you do not want another term. Cancelling an annual plan stops it from renewing; your plan remains active until the end of the paid term, after which it will not renew.

4. Season Pass and Bracket Pass

A Season Pass or Bracket Pass is a one-off purchase for a single sport’s season or a single bracket event. Because it is used for that season or event, it is non-refundable once purchased. If you upgrade to an annual plan while your season is still running, the full Season Pass fee is credited against the annual plan price, as described on the Pricing page; that credit is available only during the season.

5. Capacity and add-tippers

Where your plan includes the add-tippers slider, additional capacity is billed as you use it. Reductions in capacity or a move to a lower tier take effect at your next renewal rather than immediately, and amounts already billed for the current period are not refunded.

5A. What happens to your Hub when you cancel

When a paid plan ends, your Hub moves to the Free plan. It is not deleted, even if it sits unused until next season. Your competitions, results, leaderboards and members are kept, and you can return to a paid plan at any time. From that point the Free plan’s limits and features apply, including the Fanzava watermark, and new people cannot join until you upgrade. If a payment fails and remains unpaid, your Hub may be suspended, archived and eventually deleted.

At the end of a Season Pass or Bracket Pass, your Hub enters an off-season hold: results and leaderboards stay visible, but tipping, sign-ups and new competitions are paused, and participants other than Hub Admins are archived until you buy the next season or move to a plan. To delete your Hub permanently, contact us.

6. Enterprise

Enterprise subscriptions are billed annually in advance and are governed by the Master Service Agreement and the applicable Order Form. Enterprise fees for a term are non-cancellable and non-refundable except as expressly agreed in writing. Renewal notice for Enterprise is given as set out in the Master Service Agreement and Order Form.

7. Price changes

Fanzava may change prices. For subscriptions, a price change takes effect at your next renewal, and we give notice before it applies so you can decline renewal if you do not accept it. If we make a material adverse change to the Platform Terms of Use during your paid term and you do not accept it, you may cancel and receive a pro-rata refund of the unused portion of your term, as set out in those Terms.

8. Australian Consumer Law

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. If the service has a major failure, you may be entitled to a remedy, which may include a refund for the unused portion, and to compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If the failure is not major, we may choose to remedy it within a reasonable time. Nothing in this policy limits these rights, or equivalent non-excludable rights in your jurisdiction.

9. Billing errors and disputes

If you believe you have been charged in error, contact billing@fanzava.com before initiating a chargeback, and we will investigate and correct any genuine error promptly. Where a refund is due, it is made to the original payment method or by electronic funds transfer, for the full amount paid, without deduction of payment-processing fees.

10. How to cancel

Cancel a self-serve plan from your account settings, or contact billing@fanzava.com. For Enterprise, follow the non-renewal process in the Master Service Agreement and Order Form.
