Fantasy leagues

Your own fantasy league, branded for your workplace or club.

Fanzava will host private fantasy draft leagues on your own hub: a live snake draft room, then a squad and a captain for every member. Fantasy is opening soon. Join the waitlist and be first in.

No commitment. We get in touch when fantasy opens on your hub.

How a private fantasy league runs.

  1. A hub admin sets it up.

Create a fantasy competition in the same wizard you use for tipping and brackets, and pick the league it runs on.

  2. Members join and name a team.

Each member will join the competition and create their team, with the login they already use on your hub.

  3. Start the draft.

Once at least two teams are in, a hub admin will start the draft and the room will open for every member at once.

  4. Draft night.

Members will pick in turn, in a snake draft, while a chat runs beside the board. The draft will run one round for every place in the squad, so the squad size you set decides how long the night is.

  5. Players come from the feed.

The player pool will be built from club squad lists in the sports data feed, not a list anyone on your hub types in. Members will filter it by position.

  6. Then run the season.

Members will name a captain, propose and answer trades, and pick up free agents. The league rules will sit on a page every member can read and only a hub admin can change.

Draft league or salary cap game?

Most people meet fantasy as a salary cap game. A private draft league is a different thing, and it is the one worth hosting for a group.

A salary cap game is public.

Every player has a price, everyone has the same budget, and anyone in the country can pick the same star. AFL Fantasy, SuperCoach and the Premier League's FPL are built around a salary cap, and they run it well. If you want to play against the whole competition, play there.

A draft league is private.

Members take turns to pick, and a player belongs to one squad once picked. Nobody else in your league can own them, which makes every pick a decision about the people in the room.

A private league suits a group.

A workplace, a club, a pub or a group of friends already has a reason to talk to each other every week. A draft league gives that group something of its own to argue about, with its own members and its own brand.

Pick your league.

AFL draft league

Draft real AFL players in a live snake draft room with your own members, under your own brand.

NRL draft league

The same private draft league for the NRL: your members, your brand, and a live snake draft room before the season opens.

Other sports

Fantasy is not open for any other sport yet. Formula 1, the Big Bash, the EPL and the rest run on Fanzava as tipping competitions today.

What to look for in a fantasy sports platform.

Who owns the members?

On a public fantasy platform your league lives on someone else's site and the members belong to it. On Fanzava the league runs on your hub, under your brand, and the participant data stays in your hub.

Does the draft happen live?

A draft is the best night of the fantasy year because everyone is in the room together. Fanzava's draft room will be live, with a chat beside the board and every pick landing on every screen as it is made.

Does it sit beside your other competitions?

Fantasy on Fanzava runs in the same hub as your tipping and bracket competitions, with the same members and the same login, so one hub holds the whole year.

Is there money changing hands?

Not through Fanzava. Fanzava does not collect or hold entry fees, and a fantasy league here is a social game between your members.

Questions about fantasy leagues.

What is a private fantasy league?
A fantasy league that only your members can join, hosted on your own hub and branded as yours. Members draft real players into squads, and each player sits in only one squad.
What is the difference between a draft league and a salary cap game?
In a salary cap game every player has a price and everyone can pick the same star within a budget. In a draft league members take turns to pick, and a player belongs to one member once picked.
Which plans include fantasy?
Fantasy is not open yet. When it opens, it will be included on Starter, Growth, Pro, Scale and Enterprise. It will not be part of Free. How many fantasy competitions a hub can hold depends on the plan, and the full feature matrix is on the pricing page.
Can I run a Formula 1 fantasy league?
Not yet. Formula 1 runs on Fanzava as a tipping competition today, and fantasy is not open for it. Fantasy is open to the waitlist for AFL and NRL draft leagues.
Can I run an auction draft?
No. Fanzava's draft room runs a snake draft, where the pick order reverses each round. A league set on an auction is not a fit yet.
Can I run a keeper or dynasty league?
Not yet. Keeper and dynasty rules are not part of Fanzava fantasy today, so a league starts each season with a new draft.
Are scores and live matchups switched on?
No. Nothing in fantasy is open yet. Scoring is not switched on and there are no head-to-head matchups, which is part of why fantasy is a waitlist and not an open signup.
Does Fanzava take entry money?
No. Fanzava does not collect or hold entry fees. A fantasy league here is a social game between your members, not a betting product.
When does fantasy open?
There is no date to give yet. Join the waitlist and we will get in touch about fantasy on your hub.
