Compare

iTipFooty hosts your comp for free. Fanzava puts your comp on your brand.

Both run private tipping competitions across Australian codes. The difference is whose name sits at the top, whose ads sit beside the ladder, and who keeps the list of people who tipped.

Free to start. No credit card.

iTipFooty describes itself as "a footy tipping competition hosting platform used to create or join private tipping competitions" and states plainly that it runs no public competitions. It is free, it covers NRL, AFL, NRLW, AFLW, EPL, NFL, A-League, Super Rugby and Super Netball, it has iPhone and Android apps, and it is funded by advertising: the Google Play listing carries the Contains ads label and the privacy policy says personalised ads are served through third-party ad networks. It is built for the person who wants a tipping comp running by Thursday without paying for it. Fanzava is built for a different buyer: the club, association, media brand or employer that wants the competition to look like theirs, send from their address, sit on their domain, and hand back a participant list they can load into their CRM. If the comp is a bit of fun between mates, iTipFooty does the job. If the comp is a marketing asset, the requirements are different.

Where iTipFooty wins.

It is free, and free is genuinely hard to argue with.

Creating and joining a competition on iTipFooty costs nothing. No card, no plan, no seat count. If your budget for the tipping comp is zero, that is a real answer and Fanzava's paid plans are not.

People already know the name and already have logins.

iTipFooty has been running Australian tipping comps for years and draws steady search demand every season. Plenty of your members may already have an account and a history there. Fanzava has none of that recognition yet.

It keeps the job small on purpose.

iTipFooty offers what it calls a straight forward basic online tipping interface: knockout rounds, joker rounds, margin scoring, prize tracking and a message board, selected by the comp manager at setup. Nine codes, two apps, no onboarding. For a workplace comp of thirty people, that restraint is the feature.

There is no platform decision to defend.

Nobody has to approve a free tipping site. Fanzava asks you to pick a plan, point a domain and think about who owns the data, which is a longer conversation than sending a join link on a Monday.

Where Fanzava wins.

Your logo, your colours, your domain, your email sender.

Full white-label on every paid plan, not gated behind an enterprise contract. Members join at your address, see your brand on the ladder, and get round reminders from your sending domain. iTipFooty publishes no branding, custom domain or custom sender options.

The participant list is yours and it exports.

Everyone who joins your hub belongs to you, and the data exports to your CRM whenever you want it. iTipFooty's privacy policy states that the information it gathers is strictly for its own use and is not shared with any other entity, and it publishes no member export for comp managers.

Sponsor surfaces you sell, instead of ads someone else sold.

Sponsor placements are built into the leaderboard, round reminders, results emails and the weekly digest. Fanzava runs no third-party ad network, so the only logos beside your ladder are the ones you put there. On iTipFooty the advertising is the business model.

Tipping and knockout brackets on one login, across codes.

Season-long tipping and tournament brackets in the same platform, so a finals bracket and a home-and-away comp share one member list rather than living in two tools.

The things procurement asks about are available.

SSO, Australian data residency and audit logs are available for enterprise buyers. That is the difference between a comp your marketing team runs and a comp your IT team will sign off on.

Moving a comp across.

iTipFooty publishes no member export, so plan on inviting your audience fresh rather than lifting a list out. Set up your hub, brand it, then share a branded join link or a QR code through the channels you already use: your newsletter, your socials, the noticeboard, the group chat. If you do hold your own member list in a spreadsheet or a CRM, you can import it directly and send branded invitations from your own address. We will help you write the migration emails so the ask lands well. Start before a round rather than mid-round, keep the old comp visible until the new one has your regulars, and give people one deadline rather than two.

Questions buyers ask.

Can I get my members out of iTipFooty?
Not through a published export. iTipFooty's privacy policy says the information it collects is strictly for its own use, and there is no documented member download for comp managers. Assume you are re-inviting rather than migrating, and use a branded link or QR code.
Does iTipFooty offer white-label or a custom domain?
Neither is published anywhere on their site or app listings. Competitions run under the iTipFooty brand on itipfooty.com.au.
Why would I pay when iTipFooty is free?
You would not, if the comp is just for fun. You would if the comp is doing a job: building your list, carrying a sponsor, or putting your brand in front of members every week of the season. Fanzava is priced for that job, from A$39 a month.
Is there a free way to try Fanzava?
Yes. The free plan runs up to 25 participants. Full branding starts on the paid plans.
Does Fanzava do fantasy?
Yes, as a draft league on paid plans. Participants draft a squad of real players in a live snake draft, name a captain, then trade with each other and pick up free agents through the season, on the same hub as your tipping and brackets. The fantasy page takes a waitlist for early access rather than a self-serve signup.
