EPL tipping

Thirty-eight matchweeks, and five of them land midweek.

An EPL tipping comp that survives a season shaped around European football, a crowded Christmas and kick-offs that happen while New Zealand is asleep. Fixtures, locks and scoring under your branding, on your tippers' clock.

Free to start. No credit card.

The 2026-27 Premier League, at a glance.

Clubs and matches
20 clubs, 38 matchweeks, 380 matches. Every club plays every other club home and away.
Opening round
Friday 21 August 2026. A week later than usual, giving clubs 33 clear days after the FIFA World Cup 26 final.
Season shape
33 weekends and five midweek match rounds. The weekend rhythm breaks five separate times across the season.
Festive period
No two match rounds within 60 hours over Christmas and New Year, so the traditional pile-up is spaced but still tight.
Final day
Sunday 30 May 2027. All ten matches kick off simultaneously, so the last matchweek is a single lock rather than a spread.
The draw
A live third outcome in every fixture. Unlike rugby, a level scoreline is a normal result rather than a once-a-season curiosity.
New Zealand kick-off times
UK fixtures land overnight in New Zealand. A Saturday afternoon kick-off in England is the small hours of Sunday morning here.

What a matchweek looks like from New Zealand.

  1. Fixtures arrive already converted.

Every match in the matchweek appears in your hub from the live data feed with kick-off times and lock countdowns in your tippers' time zone, not the venue's. Nobody has to do the overnight arithmetic in their head at 11pm on a Friday.

  2. Tips lock at each kick-off, across three or four days.

A Premier League matchweek runs Friday night through Monday night in the UK, which is Saturday morning through Tuesday morning here. Fixtures close one at a time, so a late Monday game stays open long after the Saturday ones are done. Reminders land 24 hours before the first lock and again 75 minutes before.

  3. Results score overnight and the ladder is there in the morning.

Matches finish while your tippers are asleep. Scores post as each one ends, and by the time anyone opens their phone the standings have already moved. The recap arrives with breakfast rather than after it.

The arguments every Premier League tipping organiser has.

Football breaks the two-outcome habit rugby tipping is built on, and the Premier League calendar breaks the one-round-a-weekend habit five times a season.

The draw is a third outcome, and it changes all the maths.

Two-way tipping, where a draw counts as a loss for everyone, rewards backing favourites and makes half the fixture list uninteresting. Three-way tipping, home, draw or away, makes the draw a real call and rewards people who actually watch. Most organisers who come to the Premier League from rugby tipping start two-way and switch by Christmas. Decide up front whether a correct draw is worth more than a correct favourite, because it probably should be.

Five midweek rounds compress your deadlines without warning.

The 2026-27 season carries 33 weekends and five midweek match rounds. Five times a season, a round opens on a Tuesday and closes on a Thursday. Your tippers' habit is built around a weekend, so those five rounds are where participation drops hardest. Push an extra reminder into every one of them.

Postponements are normal, and they need a rule.

Cup runs, European commitments and weather move fixtures out of their matchweek all season. Decide now whether a postponed match is voided for that round, carried into the round it's eventually played in, or scored retrospectively when it happens. The third option is the fairest and the most confusing, so if you choose it, say so clearly in matchweek one.

Goal difference is too small to be a weekly scoring mechanic.

Most Premier League matches are decided by one or two goals, so a margin prediction has a usable range of about zero to four. That makes it a decent season tiebreaker on cumulative accuracy and a poor way to score a round. Use margin the way it's designed: on one designated fixture per round, settling the season rather than deciding it week to week.

Set your locks in your tippers' time zone, not England's.

A 3pm Saturday kick-off in England is the middle of the night here. If someone means to tip on Saturday evening New Zealand time, half the round is already gone. Fixture-level locks plus a reminder 24 hours out are what stop an overnight comp from quietly losing its field in September.

Formats that suit a 38-matchweek season.

Three-way tipping

Home, draw or away in every fixture. The format that fits football rather than the one imported from rugby, and the one that keeps the mid-table fixtures worth thinking about.

Two-way tipping

Pick a winner, a draw pays nobody. Simpler to explain to tippers who already know rugby tipping, at the cost of making a third of the season a formality.

Survivor

One club a matchweek, never twice. With 20 clubs and 38 matchweeks, a survivor comp can genuinely run into spring in England, which makes it a much longer format here than in the rugby codes.

Cup and knockout brackets

The domestic cups and the European competitions are knockout tournaments sitting alongside the league. Run them as brackets on the same hub and pick up the weeks the league is idle.

Why run your Premier League tipping on Fanzava.

Your logo, your colours, your domain.

White label on every paid plan. Pro and above add a custom domain and a custom email sender, so a comp running at 3am arrives from your brand rather than from a platform nobody recognises.

Built for tippers in the wrong hemisphere.

Kick-off times, lock countdowns and reminders all show in your tippers' time zone. The overnight result problem is a display problem, and it's already solved.

A season that runs from August to the end of May.

Nine months of weekly contact, covering the whole Kiwi summer and the gap between the NRL grand final and Super Rugby. Few comps keep a group of tippers engaged for that long.

Groups, rivalries and somewhere to put the arguing.

Supporter groups, office groups, branch groups, each with their own leaderboard running alongside the overall one. The Banter Board keeps Monday morning off your inbox.

Questions Premier League organisers ask.

How should draws be scored?
Either as a third pickable outcome or as a result that pays nobody. Three-way tipping fits football better: roughly a quarter of Premier League matches finish level, so a two-way comp effectively discards a large chunk of the fixture list. If your tippers already know rugby tipping, two-way is easier to introduce, but expect the question by Christmas.
What happens when a fixture is postponed?
You choose the rule before matchweek one: void the fixture for that round, carry it into the round it's eventually played, or score it retrospectively when it happens. Postponements are routine in a season built around European fixtures and domestic cups, so this is a rule you will use, not a hypothetical.
Do the kick-off times show in New Zealand time?
Yes. Fixtures, lock countdowns and reminders all show in your tippers' time zone. A Saturday afternoon match in England shows as an early Sunday morning lock here, and the reminder 24 hours before goes out at a sensible Kiwi hour.
Can we run the Premier League alongside a rugby comp?
Yes. The Premier League season runs August to May, which overlaps Super Rugby, the NRL and the whole Big Bash summer. Run them as separate competitions on one hub with one tipper list. The Starter plan covers three competitions at once.
What does it cost?
Free for up to 25 tippers with no credit card. Paid plans are billed in Australian dollars, and the pricing page lists each plan's price and tipper cap. Over a 38-matchweek season, branding and your own domain are the usual reason to move up rather than tipper numbers.
