Paste a list, get a schedule.

  1. List your teams.

One per line, from 3 to 64. Odd numbers are fine, the tool adds a rotating bye and shares it out evenly.

  2. Pick single or home and away.

Single plays each pairing once. Home and away runs the whole thing twice with the venues reversed in the second half, which is how most leagues do it.

  3. Take it with you.

Download CSV for a spreadsheet, print for a clean sheet, or copy the link so the whole committee sees the same schedule.

How the schedule is built.

The circle method, not a shuffle.

One team is held fixed and the rest rotate around it. That guarantees every pairing happens exactly once with no duplicates and no gaps, which a random shuffle cannot promise. It is the same method used to build professional league schedules.

The bye rotates.

With an odd field someone always sits out. The bye moves through the list in order, so across the season every team misses exactly one round. Nobody misses two before everyone has missed one.

Home and away alternates.

The tool flips which side is listed first each round, so a team does not end up with five straight home games. If you are using it for a real venue schedule, that is the column that matters.

The math gets big quickly.

A round robin is n times n minus one, over two. Eight teams is 28 games. Sixteen is 120. Thirty-two is 496, and double that for home and away. Worth knowing before you commit a season to it.

Run the season, not just the schedule.

Fanzava takes the schedule, collects the picks, scores them as results come in, and keeps live standings. Your logo, your colours, your domain, on every screen and every email.

Questions about round robins.

How many rounds does a round robin take?
With an even number of teams it is one fewer round than teams: eight teams play seven rounds. With an odd number it is the same as the number of teams, because one team sits out each round. Ten teams is nine rounds and forty-five games. Double it if you are playing home and away.
What happens with an odd number of teams?
The tool adds a bye and rotates it, so every team sits out exactly once and nobody sits out twice before everyone has had a turn. That is the fair way to do it and it is the part people get wrong when they build a schedule by hand.
Does it balance home and away?
The circle method this uses alternates the home side each round so no team ends up with a long run at home or on the road. Turn on home and away and it generates the reverse set of games as a second half, with the venues swapped.
Can I export the schedule?
Download CSV gives you one row per game with the round number, so you can drop it straight into a spreadsheet or a league schedule. Print gives you a clean sheet. Copy link puts the whole schedule in a URL.
Does this keep standings or run a pool?
Neither. This generates the schedule and stops there. It does not track results, calculate standings, or collect picks. Running the pool itself, with automatic scoring and a live leaderboard under your own brand, is what Fanzava does.
