- How do you build a bracket when the round of 32 is not known until the last group match?
- Two ways, and they are different competitions. Open the bracket after the group stage, when all 32 knockout teams are set and the ties are already drawn, or run a predicted bracket that locks before the first match and asks people to call the whole thing, including which third-placed teams survive. Plenty of organisers run both: the group stage as a match-by-match predictor, then the bracket on top.
- Can we run the 2027 Women's World Cup in Brazil?
- Yes. Fanzava's team builds the bracket from the tournament's own draw, so the shape of the tournament is not something you maintain. Results are recorded for you and the bracket advances itself. The 2027 tournament is a cleaner bracket than the men's: 32 teams in eight groups of four, top two through, a straight round of 16 and 64 matches from 24 June to 25 July.
- What happens to a pick when a knockout match goes to penalties?
- The team that advances is the team that scores the pick. Extra time and penalties are how the match resolves, not a separate outcome to pick, so a bracket never ends up with an unresolved tie.
- Does the expansion to 48 teams break older bracket rules?
- It breaks the wallcharts, not the format. The round of 32 is a new round, third-place qualification is ranked across all twelve groups, and there are 104 matches instead of 64. Fanzava's team builds the bracket structure from the tournament's own draw, so the shape of the field is not something you maintain. Your rules are the only thing that needs updating.
- Can people see each other's brackets?
- Not before lock, so nobody copies the person who has actually watched qualifying. After lock, brackets become visible to the whole competition and pick distribution shows how the field split on every tie.
- Is there any money involved?
- No. Fanzava is a fan and workplace engagement platform, deliberately not a gambling product. There are no entry fees and no cash prizes anywhere in it. People make picks, the leaderboard sorts them, and the argument sorts itself out.
- What does it cost?
- Plans start free. The Free plan covers 25 players and one competition at a time. Paid plans are priced in pounds sterling for businesses, with a VAT number given at checkout, and the pricing page lists what each plan adds. A single tournament can also run on a Bracket Pass.
