- What happens when my number of teams is not a power of two?
- The bracket pads out to the next power of two and the difference becomes byes. Eleven teams sit in a sixteen-slot bracket with five byes, and the byes go to the top seeds, so the strongest entries skip the first round. That is the standard convention and it is what this tool does automatically.
- How does the seeding work?
- Standard bracket seeding pairs each seed against the one that makes the numbers in every tie add up to the field size plus one. In a sixteen-team bracket that means 1 against 16, 8 against 9, 5 against 12, and so on, which keeps the top two seeds apart until the final. You can also keep your list in the order you entered it, or have the tool draw it at random.
- Can I print it?
- Yes. Print the page and everything except the bracket drops away, including the navigation, the controls and the rest of the page. It comes out as a clean black-on-white sheet you can pin up in the office or hand round.
- Can I send the bracket to someone else?
- Copy link puts the whole bracket in the URL, so anyone who opens it sees exactly what you built. Nothing is stored on our side and there is no account to create.
- Is this the same as running a bracket competition on Fanzava?
- No. This tool draws the bracket and that is all. A Fanzava bracket competition is the live version: your audience fills in their own predictions, our team records the results as matches finish, the leaderboard updates itself, and the whole thing runs under your brand.
