- Can I switch on a survivor pool in Fanzava today?
- No, and we will not pretend otherwise. Survivor is not a ready-made mode in the product right now. What ships is branded hubs, automatic schedules and scoring, live leaderboards, groups, confidence points, knockout brackets and season-long pick'em. If survivor is what you need, talk to our team and tell us the rules you run.
- What is the difference between survivor and last man standing?
- The name. Survivor, eliminator and suicide pool are the American terms, last man standing is the British one. The mechanics are identical: one team a week, no reuse, lose and you are out. The rule sets differ mostly on what a tie does, and that difference comes from the sport rather than the country.
- Why can't you pick the same team twice?
- Because without the reuse rule the format is trivial. Everyone picks the strongest team every week and nobody is ever eliminated for a reason worth discussing. The constraint is what creates the decision, and the decision is the whole pool.
- What happens if everybody is eliminated in the same week?
- Whatever your rules say. Void and replay the week, declare the surviving entries joint winners, or run a single rebuy week. Pick one before Week 1, because making the call after the result is in will look like a judgment call no matter how even-handed you are.
- How long does a survivor pool last?
- Shorter than people expect, because elimination compounds rather than accumulates. Every week multiplies the field by the share that survived, so a full office can be down to a handful of names within a month. An entry also cannot outlast the pick list, so the ceiling is the number of teams in the league unless you reset.
- Is there any betting involved?
- None. No odds, no stakes, no wagering and no money moving anywhere. Fanzava is a fan and workplace engagement platform, deliberately not a betting product.
