Premier League pick'em

Thirty-eight matchweeks, and five of them land midweek.

A Premier League pick'em pool that survives a season shaped around European soccer, a compressed Christmas and kickoffs that happen before most of America is at a desk. Schedule, locks and scoring under your brand, in every player's time zone.

The 2026-27 Premier League, at a glance.

Clubs and matches
20 clubs, 38 matchweeks, 380 matches. Every club plays every other club home and away.
Opening matchweek
Friday, August 21, 2026. A week later than usual, giving clubs 33 clear days after the FIFA World Cup 26 final.
Season shape
33 weekends and five midweek matchweeks. The weekend rhythm breaks five separate times across the season.
Holiday period
No two matchweeks within 60 hours over Christmas and New Year, so the traditional pile-up is spaced but still tight.
Final day
Sunday, May 30, 2027. All ten matches kick off at the same time, so the last matchweek is a single lock rather than a spread.
The draw
A live third outcome in every match. Unlike the NFL or the NBA, a tie is a normal result rather than a once-a-season curiosity.
US kickoff times
A 3:00pm Saturday kickoff in England is 10:00am Eastern and 7:00am Pacific. Most of a matchweek locks before lunch on the East Coast and before breakfast on the West Coast.

What a matchweek looks like from the US.

  1. The schedule arrives already converted.

Every match in the matchweek appears in your hub from the live data feed with kickoff times and lock countdowns in each player's time zone, not the stadium's. Nobody in Los Angeles has to work out what 12:30pm in London means on a Saturday.

  2. Picks lock at each kickoff, across three or four days.

A Premier League matchweek runs Friday to Monday. Matches close individually, so a Monday game stays open long after the Saturday ones are done. Reminders land 24 hours before the first lock and again 75 minutes before.

  3. Results score by lunchtime.

Most matches finish before noon Eastern. Scores post as each one ends, and by the time the office sits down for lunch on Saturday or checks in on Monday the standings have already moved.

The arguments every Premier League pool commissioner has.

Soccer breaks the two-outcome assumption the NFL and NBA are built on, and the Premier League calendar breaks the one-matchweek-a-weekend assumption five times a season.

The draw is a third outcome, and it changes all the math.

Two-way picks, where a draw counts as a loss for everyone, reward backing favorites and make half the schedule uninteresting. Three-way picks, home, draw or away, make the draw a real call and reward people who actually watch. Most commissioners who come to the Premier League from an NFL pool start two-way and switch by Christmas. Decide up front whether a correct draw is worth more than a correct favorite, because it probably should be.

Five midweek matchweeks compress your deadlines without warning.

The 2026-27 season carries 33 weekends and five midweek matchweeks. Five times a season, a matchweek opens on a Tuesday and closes on a Thursday, with kickoffs in the middle of an American workday. Your players' habit is built around a weekend, so those five are where participation drops hardest. Push an extra reminder into every one of them.

Postponements are normal, and they need a rule.

Cup runs, European commitments and weather move matches out of their matchweek all season. Decide now whether a postponed match is voided for that matchweek, carried into the one it's eventually played in, or scored retroactively when it happens. The third option is the fairest and the most confusing, so if you choose it, say so clearly in matchweek one.

Goal difference is too small to be a weekly scoring mechanic.

Most Premier League matches are decided by one or two goals, so a margin prediction has a usable range of about zero to four. That makes it a decent season tiebreaker on cumulative accuracy and a poor way to score a matchweek. Use margin the way it's designed: on one designated match per matchweek, settling the season rather than deciding it week to week.

Set your locks on your players' clocks, not England's.

The early Saturday match kicks off at 7:30am Eastern and 4:30am Pacific. If someone means to make their picks over Saturday brunch, half the matchweek is already gone. Match-level locks plus a reminder 24 hours out are what stop a pool from quietly losing its West Coast players in September.

Formats that suit a 38-matchweek season.

Three-way pick'em

Home, draw or away in every match. The format that fits soccer rather than the one imported from football, and the one that keeps the mid-table matches worth thinking about.

Two-way pick'em

Pick a winner, a draw pays nobody. Simpler to explain to a group that already runs an NFL pool, at the cost of making a third of the season a formality.

Survivor

One club a matchweek, never twice. With 20 clubs and 38 matchweeks, a survivor pool can genuinely run into spring, and draws make it harsher than the NFL version.

Cup and knockout brackets

The domestic cups and the European competitions are knockout tournaments running alongside the league. Run them as brackets on the same hub and pick up the weeks the league is idle.

Why run your Premier League pool on Fanzava.

Your logo, your colors, your domain.

White label on every paid plan. Pro and above add a custom domain and a custom email sender, so a pool that locks at 7:30am arrives from your brand rather than from a platform nobody recognizes.

Built for players five to eight hours behind the match.

Kickoff times, lock countdowns and reminders all render in each player's time zone. The early-kickoff problem is a display problem, and it's already solved.

A season that runs from August to the end of May.

Nine months of weekly contact, covering the whole NFL season and the gap between the Super Bowl and baseball. No other pool on this site keeps a group engaged for that long.

Groups, rivalries and somewhere to put the arguing.

Supporters' club groups, office groups, branch groups, each with their own leaderboard running alongside the overall one. The Banter Board keeps Monday morning out of your inbox.

Questions Premier League commissioners ask.

How should draws be scored?
Either as a third pickable outcome or as a result that pays nobody. Three-way picks fit soccer better: roughly a quarter of Premier League matches finish level, so a two-way pool effectively throws away a large chunk of the schedule. If your group already runs an NFL pool, two-way is easier to introduce, but expect the question by Christmas.
What happens when a match is postponed?
You choose the rule before matchweek one: void the match for that matchweek, carry it into the matchweek it's eventually played, or score it retroactively when it happens. Postponements are routine in a season built around European matches and domestic cups, so this is a rule you will use, not a hypothetical.
Do kickoff times show in US time?
Yes. The schedule, lock countdowns and reminders all render in each player's time zone. A Saturday afternoon match in England shows as a Saturday morning lock here, and the reminder 24 hours before goes out on Friday morning.
Can we run the Premier League alongside an NFL pool?
Yes. The Premier League season runs August to May, which overlaps the entire NFL season and most of the NBA's. Run them as separate pools on one hub with one player list. Starter covers three pools at a time.
What does it cost?
Free for up to 25 players with no credit card. Paid plans are billed in US dollars, and the pricing page lists each plan's price and player cap. Over a 38-matchweek season, branding and your own domain are the usual reason to move up rather than player numbers.
